2010 PNW Rendezvous - Sep 10-12, 2010

Below is the list of those that have said they will be attending "Ranger Tug Fest 2010" in Bremerton. If there is not a notation next to your name, that indicates that you have not confirmed your arrival date. In order to insure that there is enough food and goodies for everyone, we need those that have not done so, to confirm whether they are still planning to attend and their planned arrival date.

I will be passing on the names of those that have asked for a hotel room at the Hampton Inn to the hotel on the 1st of September. At that time, you will need to contact the hotel and put your credit card on your reservation to guarantee it. If you do not call the hotel with a credit card, they will cancel your room 24 hours prior to your arrival.

All those staying on the dock, you do not need to contact the marina. We have the slips all reserved.

Please add my name to your list.

Anne Cox and Gus, my lab. What is the moorage fee?

Thank you,

Anne,
What is the name of your vessel and what day do you intend to arrive?

My boat's name is Sea Coaster.

I need to know the price for moorage each day before I can make a decision about when I will be there. Could you kindly email that; I have not found it listed anywhere.

Thank you in advance.

BaseCampAnne

Anne,
Rates are:
Breakwater Moorage $.65 per foot plus $4.00 for electric plus tax
Slips are $28.00 per day plus $4.00 for electric plus tax

Currently I have assigned you to the breakwater.

I noticed that I have been assigned slip P (as in PAPA)-16. However, I can't find a P dock on the Bremerton website. Are all of those P's supposed to be B (as in BRAVO)?

Anniedear is correct. "P" stands for public and it is the long walkway coming out to breakwater. Slip assignments have changed just a little so please be sure to review the final listing which will be posted the week prior to the event.

Dragons Breath, when do you plan to arrive?

I still cannot get over the turnout that we had here in Bremerton this year. 32 vessels in attendance on Saturday afternoon! The trip under the bridge was a "trip" indeed. Laurie on the Laurie Ann likened it to "herding cats". We pulled it off and got a great shot of 22 tugs all in formation!

As all of you departed, it was very sad to watch you leave. We currently still have four vessels here this morning; Zuma, Sporty II, Lucky Fin, and Solitude.

The date for the 2010 rendezvous will be September 10th through the 12th. We will once again have it at the Bremerton Marina. I have already reserved the breakwater as well as what ever numbers of slips that we will need. The goal for 2010 is 50 vessels! We already have four boats that have given a tentative goal to attend.

For 2010 there will be a participation fee of $10.00 per vessel. This will cover Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday as well as dinner on Saturday. Along with this very modest fee, each vessel will once again have to cover their own moorage fees. The marina has once again given us the "break water" rate on the slips.

Thanks to all of you who attended! It was a great pleasure meeting each and everyone of you!

I haven't absolutely solidified my plans as yet. I may come in on the 9th. If not, It will be mid day on the 10th for sure. If I come in on the 9th I'll contact the marina before arrival.

Thanks for the clarification of the slip assignment. None of the marina layouts I looked at made that clear.

Sparky has probably offered but if you need someone to drive a boat over to Bremerton, we actually land on Wednesday and are very familiar with Puget Sound, having sailed there for nearly a decade!

We are four weeks old tug nuts--having purchased Honu Kai an 2008 R 25.
Looking forward to Bremerton rendezvous and meeting fellow tugnuts.
Plan on arriving Friday evening. What is the registration process for
securing a spot at the rendezvous?

David Baker (Karma) is handling registration/slips. He and Maureen have been up in Desolation Sound. I'm confident he'll catch up on this discussion, but you might send him a Private Message to make sure.

Cheers,

Bruce

Barb & Benny: I would send a PM to David(Karma)

Tony on Molly M, you are in.

The time is drawing near for this years "Tug Fest" in Bremerton. We have been busy working on the slip assignments, hotels rooms, ordering food, arranging extra tables, etc etc etc........

We currently have 56 vessels that have indicated their desire to attend. Out of that 56 only 41 have confirmed. We currently have nine slips left on "P" dock and the break water. There will be additional slips available on "B" dock if we need them.

I have only assigned slips to those that have confirmed their intentions of attending. We will gladly work in any vessels that show up at the last minute. Again though, we only have nine slips available in the main area. Once those are filled, the remaining vessels will be placed on "B" dock.

Below is the list of folks that have signed up. If there is an arrival day next to your name, that means you have confirmed. If there is no arrival day, that would indicate I have not received a confirmation from you.

I have also included the list of those that have indicated they needed a hotel room. I have reserved rooms for all with the exception of Joe and Sparky as they have made their own. I will be giving the hotel the list of names tomorrow, September 1st. At that time you will need to contact the hotel with your credit card information to hold your room. The information for the hotel is:

Legend for Slips:
P= "P dock
Brk= Breakwater
ST= Side Tie
NP= No Power, We will squeeze these in where we can

David: Is there a specific VHF channel we should hail when approaching dock or do we simply proceed to our designate slip # if we have one ?

Barry,
Please hail on channel 71 when approaching the dock. If you see a number of tugs milling about the entrance, please hold off giving us time to assist others.

Just in the event someone should miss all of this information, I will repost again over the upcoming weekend.

Hmmm - With potential of some 56 nuts arriving we could see as many as maybe 150 people milling about. :roll: Last year someone handed out sticky name labels -- same this year ? 😉

David: If you need an extra pair of hands to deal with things let me know, or if there's anything useful to bring along to assist send me a PM or post here. I'm sure your hands are full with organizing things etc.
