Hi,
We purchased our boat in May of this year. It has been in our private slip since. It has been plugged in much of the time. Last week we had an emergency pull out because the AC thru hull failed. (another story). When the boat was hauled, we noticed the zincs on base of outboards and large zinc on stern were all but eaten away. After having boats since the early '90s, I know this is NOT normal. Have you all identified causes for this? Do I need to contact Yamaha as well?
Our floating dock is new (as of this spring) and we do have a galvanic isolator ( assuming it is functioning as it should).
We are feeling this is a warranty issue...Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
