Yes thanks for the info….It’s my understanding that most or all of the cockpit engine hatch lifts used in the C-28’s are hydraulic. The hydraulic pump used is electric powered of course but the arm itself uses the same hydraulic fluid reservoir as used by the trim tabs. At least that’s what’s used in my 2017 C-28.
They no longer make affordable replacement hydraulic units. At least none that I could find. Arguably the best replacement solution is an all electric linear actuator. If you find one that works, please post the specifics and install process for the rest of us C-28 owners.
