IMG_1292.pngI have looked almost everywhere as to where to purchase the mount …. Any suggestions?

Outboard rail motor mount at Amazon, numerous ones available at around $40

I assume he’s referencing the entire unit including the stainless tubing, not merely the plastic square.

Thx for the comeback…. Yes, my interest is in locating the tubing.. really the whole thing if so available.. it’s a three legged tubing, which I believe it will not cover up the lettering.. I’ve looked @ Amazon & couldn’t locate one.

Any good local stainless welder in your market could make this for you based on your measurements. Probably a bit more $$$ but it would be custom fit for your boat specifically.

I believe Bolton Stainless in BC makes nearly all the stainless railings for Fluid Motion. They are Wholesale only but perhaps a call to Fluid Motion would help in case they had some of these made for them?

I'd contact Fluid motion for the appropriate option for your boat model

Yeah, I did. Then had a response from Fluid Motion Parts, & they are to research, since many parts are sourced by various manufacturers. No update as yet.

Very interesting approach.. certainly a reasonable priced project.. thx

Friend with a 2021 r27 says his boat had it the mount like the one in the picture installed when he got the boat. It was around $450 at that time.
I’m guessing the design is the same on new boats too.

I would not doubt it’s more that now.. everything from them is way up there, like 500% upcharge. the approach of getting the ttube holder from Amazon, as suggested earlier look like a way to go.. all I need now is to find someone that could bend to shape the 1” tube, or get a tube bender. I’ll keep on trying - have to find somehow how to carry a small outboard.

I bought that exact mount last spring. I purchased it from Port Boat House in Port Alberni BC, they ordered it from FM.
It was about $1000 CAD all done, including professional install. I had bought a different mount prior and didn’t like its single mounting point versus 3 points this one uses, so I returned the other one. Happy I did. This one works great and is solid without having to fiberglass the inside of the transom beyond what FM already does stock (in a R27).

The cost of this mount installed was more than I initially expected, and if I were to do it again, the price (plus the dinghy motor) was much closer to what a good electric motor costs - which doesn’t need a mount and doesn’t require carrying fuel. I might have chosen the electric had I better diligenced the cost

But this is a great mount

I had written to Fluid Motion and they said that that they were going to search and see how they can help.
I then received a reply from Fluid Motion Parts and they gave me a link to Marine Depot Direct for “Ranger Tug R27 kicker bracket, White”.
An earlier response from Reel Salty Bliss, and also from DDean where someone back then had purchased one. The price stated for this one is now $ 689.98, free shipping.. So finally, mystery solved. Thxs everyone for their wonderful help..

Are you sure that is the dinghy mount and not the bracket for the 9.9hp kicker motor? I’d ask for a photo or at least some more clarification before I order one.

Boy, you’re sure about that ! Should have thought of that, especially with “kicker” in the description.. thx for the alert..

That’s the dinghy motor mount. Kicker mount is very different and in a completely different location.

that’s exactly the mount I’m looking for.. I’ve been communicating with Fluid Motion Parts and have sent them a pic.. The components are supplied by a small metal fabricator in BC. I should be hearing from them shortly. Where did you get your mount?

That’s not my boat but that is the mount I have and love. I got it from Port Boat House in B.C., as stated in the post up higher.
