Ok, Cutwater crew. Explain how this happens. When we were in Seattle and did the factory delivery experience, our engine controls were fine. The boat was then shipped to our marina (also the dealer). Now that it is in the water and “ready,” we discovered that the port engine start/stop button is wired to the starboard engine. The starboard start/stop button is wired to the port engine. To make matters worse, the throttles are reversed as well. We about had an issue when we were exiting our slip, thinking we could use the throttles to help with some tight maneuvering. Are the engines “unwired” during shipping and our marina service people screwed this up? I want to know how they docked the boat with a screwed up connection!

Please tell me this is an easy fix for the service dept!

Hi fmstuart! Sorry that you are experiencing these issues, but we normally do not need to disconnect the controls for shipping of any of our boats, so I am at a loss as to why this is happening. Thank your for confirming though that they were apparently properly attached when you were here for your factory delivery. Can you give me any information on the marina service people and what they may have done to prepare your boat? I would like to do what I can to help get a resolution for this as quickly as possible. Thank you!

Kenny is on it with our marina’s service department. We know for sure that the throttles were working properly during our delivery experience in Seattle. It may be Monday before the service dept will get to it because of their making sure they follow the required warranty protocol with you guys. I wish that weren’t the case, but I do understand the necessity of protocol.

Ok, perfect. You are in good hands with Kenny. Apologies about the formalities, but yes you are right. At this point it's better to let them follow the required protocol to make sure they are able to help as quickly as possible. I'll stand by in case I can help in any other way. Thank you!

It’ll work out well. I am an impatient person (so my wife and daughters tell me), and that gets in my way at times. Thanks, Ralph.
