We have a Ranger Tug and keep it most of the year in San Diego. We trailer the boat to the PNW each Summer and then trailer back to San Diego. We are finishing our PNW tour and will be back in San Diego in a week. I will send you a PM with my contact info and we can coordinate on getting together in SoCal.
Just curious where you keep your boat in the PNW. I am looking to do the same in the summers. We tow to Anacortes, WA and launch and retrieve the boat using their very reasonably priced lift at Cap Sante Marina. I have always used lifts and have never put our trailer in the water. I store the boat trailer for the Summer in a secure storage facility called On Deck Marine. Cap Sante marina allows long-term, free parking of your truck in their parking lot.Just curious where you keep your boat in the PNW. I am looking to do the same in the summers. We agree! (So. Cal. boaters)View attachment 23872
We are new Cutwater owners, but the few times we have been to Catalina this summer we have met some wonderful Cutwater and Ranger Tug owners. Cutwater...we need an official Rendezvous here 🙂. Anyone else agree?
Hi, what size is your tug? We have a Cutwater C28 and are thinking of getting a trailer and taking it to PNW next summer! Do you have someone trailer it, or do it yourself? Where do you launch in the PNW and where do you store the trailer. How long do you go for. We have a tundra truck that can tow 11,000...hope that would be enough. We have a Ranger Tug and keep it most of the year in San Diego. Yes! What boat do you have. I will keep an eye out for it! Love it there!!!!View attachment 23876View attachment 23877Would love to see this get off the ground, certainly run into plenty of other Cutwater and Ranger Tugs throughout the season at the island.
We have one of the more uncommon models, the Cutwater 30 - Sport Top which is the inboard diesel but instead of a full cabin the entire rear half is a removable Strattaglass enclosure. Probably didn't sell well for the Northern climates, but we love it for down here as it makes everything sooo much more open.Yes! What boat do you have. I will keep an eye out for it! We're usually at either Two Harbors, 4th of July, or Cherry Cove.
Certainly a loaded question when it comes to Catalina...Add me to the list. We are in Northern Cal and trailer our CW28 all over the west. Catalina has been on our list for awhile now. We just seem to get distracted with other locations. What would be a good jumping off point (launch ramp) coming from the north.
I would love that!! I am a new 228 owner in San Diego!!View attachment 23872
