Hi Barry - I am looking through the various postings, trying to find the detail for the weekend. Specifically when will folks plan to arrive in Bremerton. On Friday Sept 10th? and approx what time would most begin to arrive?
Thx!
Sandi Dalgleish

Sandi: If your post was directed at me then from last year I recall arriving between Noon and 3pm on the Friday. I'm sure Karma will chip in with details surrounding arrival time. -Barry

Sandi and others,
Karma will arrive Wednesday afternoon September 8th. Others will start arriving on Thursday with the majority of folks arriving Friday afternoon. We basically have all of the guest moorage at Bremerton tied up Friday through Sunday. The earlier part of the week is open.

With the number of vessels planning to attend this year, we are going to have to assign slips to the R-29's, R-27's and R-21's. The R-25's will fill in along the breakwater and main walkway. If you are planning to arrive earlier than Friday, please let me know and I will let you know your slip number. I will post slip numbers for the R-29's, R-27's and R-21's on Monday September 6th. There will also be signs on the docks for these vessels on their projected arrival dates.

David and Maureen -

The Laurie Ann will also plan to arrive on Wednesday afternoon, September 8. We are planning to help out in any way that we can and are looking forward to this 2nd annual event!

Laurie

John and Laurie,
That is great! I appreciate the offer of help! The soap is in the starboard cockpit storage along with the hose and bucket. The wax and stainless polish is under the ice chest. The rain x is right next to the wax. I will have a glass of Chardonay please......

One of the functions that we are currently looking to set up for "Ranger Tug-Fest" is, having diver come to Bremerton on Saturday and replace the zincs on any vessel needing it done. We would split the cost of the diver by the number of boats that have it done. You would need to order your zinc's from Andrew ahead of time. If you are interested, please let me know.

What a great idea -- count me in. I will order the under water zincs from Andrew and will have them on hand in Bremerton.

Dear David and Maureen;
Blessings 29 will be coming Thursday afternoon to help.
Fernando and Sunny Martinez

Fernie and Sunny,
Got you on the list for a Thursday arrival.

Barry,
Added you to the list for zinc change out (that's two of us now)

"Nellie Too" will arrive on Thursday as well. Also, I have another idea for our September event. What if we do a raffle or a silent auction one night? The money we earn from this event would be used for next year's event.

Is the craft fair/swap meet still on? IF so, we need to let people know.

Thanks Karma.

Nita

Next years event....... oh no...... we haven't even gotten past the Points North Cruise or this years Ranger Tug Fest!

The craft fair/swap meet is still on for Sunday Morning. Bring all of your "crafty" items along as well as the boat parts that are taking up space in your garage!

We are in the process of finalizing the agenda at this time. We will publish it within the next two weeks.

I do need to hear from those that are planning to attend via a PM. Please let me know what day you plan to arrive as well as number of people on board.

Nita,
I like your idea for the silent auction. However instead of using the money for next years "Ranger Tug Fest", how about donating it to a charitable group that promotes safe boating on the sound or a group such as the Sea Scouts? It could be some other group that gets people out on the water and keeps them safe. In light of today economics, a lot of these type of groups are facing huge budget cuts. We can help!

Jeff, Andrew, John, Dave, Would Ranger Tugs be willing to put up an item or two we could auction? How about the use of a Ranger Tug in Florida for a week?

Other items that would spark interest:
Handheld VHF
Garmin Update Chips
Life Slings
A complete spare parts kit for a Ranger Tug (impeller, belts, fuel filters, zincs)
Sirius Radio Tuner, antenna, and installation
Inflatable Safety Vests

The ideas are endless!

Anything we can do as boaters to make the water safer for others would surely be worth while!

Please add Tutta Bella to the list of attendees. Karen and I hope to pull in Thursday evening.

We were wondering if you were going to make it this year! Tutta Bella will more than likely be the oldest (or would it be one of the first) R-25's in attendance!

She's not so old that she minds hanging out with all the younger boats.

We will be there in spirit! That weekend we will be in Charleston, OR as Brenda is taking an art class on doing "fishprints" and such. I'll be getting local knowledge while she's in class. We're taking the Queen Bee so we can do some exploring along Coos Bay in the off hours. At least that's the plan!
Bob and Brenda B

Hello to all,
I am a tug wannabe and willbe but, probably not until next year. I have been researching the Rangers and I am trying to get as much exposure and information as possible before I make my purchase. That being said, I will be visiting a friend on Whidbey Island at the time of your Rendezvous and wondered if it would be alright if my friend and I took a ride up to see all of your boats one day on the weekend?
Don't you all hate a party crasher?
Please let me know if that is OK.

I cannot imagine anyone objecting to that. A very smart move on your part... Welcome aboard and be sure to check in with the Ranger factory people on hand to answer any and all of your purchasing questions.

Pete,
As Barry put it, no one would object. There are a number of folks that are coming down to look at the boats and talk to the various owners. Along with all of the owners that will be there with their tugs, the factory will have a great representation of new tugs for prospective owners to crawl all over! Come on down!

Thanks,
I look forward to seeing all the great boats and meeting some of you folks. See you in September.
Pete

Well Tugnutters,
The time is drawing closer to the second annual Ranger Tugs Fest in Bremerton! We currently have fifty boats registered! The goal was 75, does not appear we will make it......

If you have not shot me a PM letting me know your planned arrival date as well as the names of those on board, please do so as soon as possible.

Muffins and Coffee on Saturday and Sunday morning will be provided by Karma and Ranger Tugs. Dinner for all on Saturday night will be provided by Karma. (BYOB)

There will be gift bags handed out to each vessel that registers by August 14th upon arrival.

In order to insure that we have enough of everything for everybody, we need to know how many will be attending. We will welcome last minute arrivals, however we may just not have gift bags for those that register late. (Food is not an issue, I have once again ordered more than enough food for Saturday night)
