I thought I'd put this out early this year. We are thinking of doing the Mini-Cruise again over Memorial Day weekend 2013. Just looking for some ideas and get a feel for how many might be interested. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

We're all for it. It's a good time, and a great place to gather. We really enjoyed the buzz around the docks, with the fishing fleet mending nets and preparing their boats for the season in SE AK. And, they all seemed to enjoy seeing our little fleet, as well.

Cheers,

Bruce

Destiny will attend

We plan to be there. Nice spot, good time of year and a wonderful group of people.

Count us in as well!

Count the Salish Rover in !!! We wouldn't miss it.

Sounds great. A little early to plan but we have it on our calendar.

I will plan to attend also. Thank you for stepping up to organize another fun gathering in an interesting location 😀

LAXEY would welcome the opportunity to gain further experience traversing the Locks on their way to/from Fisherman's Terminal - Seattle. We enjoyed the same opportunity earlier this year being at the Fisherman's Terminal and I personally found it very interesting being able to view all the various types of boats there and to speak with the various fishermen working on their boats and exchanging stories etc.

I was out on the boat yesterday on my own heading for Elliot Bay in calm sea conditions to see the Seattle skyline from the water and to ensure the recently performed 250 hr engine service was without issues etc... when all of a sudden the radio crackled... "Laxey...". Surprise surprise... 😱 it was David & Maureen on their Helmsman 38 going in the opposite direction and heading for an overnight at Kingston. I'm glad they radioed as I quite likely would have missed them. We exchanged a few words and we then both continued on our way. A nice surprise meeting, and I'm pleased to see David & Maureen will also be attending next years Fisherman's Terminal meeting.

I'm glad David did not cross paths with me earlier as I was practicing avoiding floating logs by pretending an empty floating 1 gal milk bottle was the log and with me steering toward it at 8 kts and then engaging reverse to avoid it... David may have thought I was having some kind of issue...

Nita and I will be leaving for a vacation on Oct 1st and returning on the 27th. If you would like to sign up for the Mini-Cruise please make your inputs. I am hoping we can get maybe 20 boats this next year. We offer maps to many of the interesting people's homes, like Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Kemper Freeman Jr, Jim Sinegal and many more of those in the PNW. An added interest is the passage through the Ballard locks which we will offer assistance as needed or requested.

Please add Sea Sweeper to the list.

Our intentions are to be there also. That means we are making the first committment to return to the Pacific North West next summer.

Bob & Nita:

Do have a good time in UK and beyond and hope weather treats you nicely. My 1st Mate returns from UK on Oct 2nd and if you're leaving Oct 1st you will get to UK on Oct 2nd, so you may cross paths. 😀 Take care with the jet lag... and my 1st Mate says the IoM is not for sale...

Becky and I on our new boat "Y-Knot" are planing on attending, but have not been through the locks together..... either a good time or a bad time in the making?

We'd like to participate.

Nita and I just got back from our trip and were pleased to find that the total number of boats for the Mini-Cruise is 13. We will have a ball and still looking for more to attendees. I will try to get enough donations so our drawing will have something for everyone. I hope all those on the east coast are not negatively impacted by the storm, my thoughts are with you all.
All the best'
Bob

Well here is the lastest list of the attendees for the Mini-Cruise to Fisherman's Terminal. Last year we had eleven so this is quite an improvement. I hope we will have many more.
All the best,
