Cary,
Steve and I are looking to leave our tow vehicles in Anacortes for three weeks starting on September 6th. Where would you recommend since you live in the neighborhood?
Thanks and see you in Bremerton!

David --- Good question. I am not a trailer boater so I am not familiar with the situation. The port and parks both have trailer lots but I know they have time restrictions. Would you be willing to separate trailers and trucks? I will check all options.
--- Cary

Cary,
If we needed to we would.
Thanks,
David

DAVE,, THERE IS A HUGE PARKING LOT RIGHT BEHIND CAP SANTE MARINA WHERE TINA AND I LEFT OUR RENTAL CAR FOR WEEKS AT A TIME WHILE WE WERE JUMPING THRU THE 90 DAY YACHT CLUB RULES REGARDING PURCHASING OUT OF STATE OF CA, YADAYADA THERE IS ALSO A PUBLIC LAUNCH RAMP LESS THAN A MILE AWAY,, BEEN THERE DONE THAT GIMME A CALL,, STEVE, GOT NO CLUE

what about Roche Harbour ???...or somewhere on the Canadian side?

The Harbor Ranger would like to meet all of her family at the Bremerton Rendezvous in Sept. We will likely show up on the 10th. We can make our own reservations if that's the protocol. Thank you Solitude for taking care of all the arrangements. Please let us know what to bring, money, food, whatever. Harbor Ranger (Gary and Rosalie).

Gary,
Great to hear that you and Rosalie will be able to make it. I have seen your boat in Gig a couple of times and was hoping that you would be able to make it. Solitude, Chistina Bee, and Blue Bayou will actually already be in Bremerton on Thursday the 10th. We will actually be arriving on the 6th of September.

I will be in Bremerton the first week of August and finallize the plans for the rendezvous. I will get your reservation for the 10th if you would like.

Saturday night dinner will be provided by Solitude. The only thing that we need assistance with is service ware type items. Paper Plates, napkins, etc. Drew and Michelle have said they would bring paper plates, John and Laurie have said they would bring plastic utensils. Plastic cups would be great in case they are needed. Beverages will be BYOB. Dinner will include a variety of pulled meat sandwiches (chicken, pork, beef), salads, dips, and desserts.

Sunday morning breakfast will also be provided by Solitude consisting of Breakfast Pastries. Anyone that can bring coffee would be welcome as my French Press only makes two cups at a time........

Thanks

David and Maureen --- Checking out the launch and parking facilities in my own neighborhood has been a real eye opener. I have always known that Cap Sante is a class operation but I had nothing to compare it to. We have a commissioner that is very sensitive to the needs of boaters and is not afraid to make changes. There is now a 72 hour parking lot next to the sling lift and long term lot out where the rest of us park. These areas are well patroled and I have never heard of any trouble. Also on the grounds are very clean shower and laundry facilities. I hate to come off as a voice of the CoC but I am impressed with what they are doing. On the other hand.....

Washington Park is the more popular of the launch sites but the parking lot is limited to 14 nights. The launch ramp is free but the parking would be almost double the cost even if they did allow more than 14 days. I don't know what the security is there, as the lot is somewhat isolated. This is definately the choice for weekends.

I sent you a PM to trade informantion. Not sure if you got it since I have had trouble with PM's before. I don't like to put address's on an open thread. Google white pages for my info. Don't know how it got there, we've kinda lost control of that sort of thing. I have a couple of maps and the info that I have collected that I will send to you when I have your address.

Just curious---how do you plan to get back to your boats?

--- Cary W. Tolman, Anacortes ---

Good morning,

Wynn and Anniedear would like to confirm our attendance at the Bremerton gathering September the 11th. We will be on ADear 1, a red R-25.

Wynn n Anniedear,
I have added you to the confirmed list!
Thank you,

Is Evergreen Park a good place to launch and park the tow vehicle for three days?

Geez... how can I miss this event? We had planned to be cruising up north during that weekend, but with such a wonderful guest list already published, we've changed plans.

Please sign up Island Ranger - arriving on the 11th

Thanks,
Mac

Mac,
See you on the 11th in Bremerton!
Thanks

We are now just four and a half weeks away from the first PNW Rendezvous! We currently have 16 vessels that have confirmed their intentions of attending with another five that say they are going to do their best to make it and three possibles!

I stopped into Bremerton Marina last week and spoke with the folks there. They say bring on as many vessels as we want, they will make room for all who show!

They will position us on the breakwater which will give us great views across the water into Port Orchard as well as easy access to all of the tourist and curious folks who want to check out all of the little tugs tied up in the marina!

The current plan is to have vessels start arriving on Friday morning (the 11th) or sooner. Saturday we will depart Bremerton at 10:00 heading up to Poulsbo returning to Bremerton around 3:00. There are numerous restaurants where crews can dine for lunch or there is the park if the weather permits for a picnic.

Dinner will be served on the dock at 6:00 pm in Bremerton on Saturday evening. Drew of R'Dragon has volunteered to provide all of the paper plates, napkins, plastic silverware.

Dinner will consist of Hot Sandwiches made of Pulled Pork, Beef, or Chicken along with various salads and dessert. Crews are encouraged to bring along their favorite appetizer for the cocktail party preceeding dinner. Alchohol as well as any other beverages will be BYOB.

Breakfast on Sunday morning will consist of Muffins and Danish. Each vessel will need to bring along their own coffee as we do not have a French Press that can produce enough coffee in a timely fashion. (If your like me, that would be coffee within 15 minutes of being out of bed...)

The dock comes complete with two very large charcoal BBQ's as well as an event tent and two picnic tables. The marina has additional folding tables that they will loan on a first come first served basis. Please bring along your dock chairs to insure that everyone has a place to sit.

Solitude and the Christina B will be staying at Bremerton Sunday night, heading for the San Juans Monday morning.

Below is the list of attendees as it stands today. Please let me know if your status changes or I have somehow missed getting you on the list.... We need to plan accordingly for dinner on Saturday night.

Wow. Too bad we are on the wrong coast! Sparky and I used to live straight across Sinclair Inlet on the ridge looking at the ferry terminal, marina and Shipyard. Please stop by on the waterfront and visit the Puget Sound Navy Museum next to the Shipyard gate. It has the sail from our nation's most decorated nuclear submarine - the USS Parche.
